ROB started to paint from the age of 5 years (like everyone else...). 

In spite of this strong tendency for the arts, he did scientific and technical studies in the Engineering university in Aeronautics of the TU Delft (the Netherlands).

After his studies, he worked as a computer specialist in a consulting engineer's company, specialized in technical building installations.

As a computer specialist, he was extensively confronted with the logic and the way of presenting of computer screens. This strongly influenced his way of expressing himself in painting.

After that he dedicates himself to painting in a more professional way and he began to expose his works from 1996 on in the Netherlands.

Since 1999, he settled down in the south of France in a little rural village.

His work can be seen only in his workshop on reservation.
